Vegan Gravy

 

Vegan Gravy
2 Tbsp Canola oil
½ cup Onion, ¼” diced
½ cup Celery, ¼” diced
1 tsp Garlic, minced
3 Tbsp Unbleached white flour
1 cube Edward & Sons Garden Veggie Bouillon cube dissolved in 2 cups hot water
2 Tbsp Tamari
1 Tbsp Fresh sage, minced

  • Heat oil over medium high heat.
  • Sauté onion, celery and garlic until onion is clear.
  • Reduce heat to low.
  • Stir in flour to make a roux.
  • Stirring often, cook roux over very low heat for 3 minutes.
  • Return heat to high, add the vegetable broth and tamari sauce, and whisk.
  • Bring gravy to a boil, stirring often.

Add sage and simmer for 10 minutes.
