Sesame Panko Tofu with Mango Chili Sauce

This crispy tofu is pan-fried to perfection and coated in a delicious sesame seed & panko mixture.⁠

 This recipe is made with Let’s Do Organic Cornstarch and Edward & Sons Organic Panko Breadcrumbs for a crispy crunchy tofu!

The crispy sesame panko tofu pairs divinely with a delicious  homemade chili mango dipping sauce for a seriously addictive dish!

Ingredients:⁠

Marinade:⁠

  • 2 tsps sesame oil⁠
  • 1 tbsps rice vinegar⁠
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce ⁠
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste ⁠
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger paste ⁠
  • 1/2 a lime juiced⁠

Chili Mango Dipping Sauce:⁠

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh mango puréed ⁠
  • 1 tbsp date sugar or coconut sugar⁠
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil⁠
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes ⁠
  • 1/2 Tbsp ginger minced ⁠
  • 1 garlic clove minced ⁠

Instructions:

  1. Start by pressing the access water out of your tofu block and cutting it into 1 inch sized cubes.
  2. Mix all the marinade ingredients together in a dish big enough for your tofu. Place tofu in mixture, shake and let sit for at least 30 mins. ⁠
  3. Prep your dipping station ingredients and panko mixture. Once time is up, take each piece and coat in the following method. Cornstarch, aquafaba and then the panko mixture. ⁠
  4. Place cubes onto the frying pan and turn to toast each side. About 15 mins. ⁠
  5. Add olive oil, minced garlic, mince ginger and chili flakes to a small pot. Place on the stove top on medium heat. Bring to a boil while stirring for about 3 mins.
  6. Add your fresh mango to a blender or food processor and blend till smooth. Now mix in your date syrup and your heated chili oil.
  7. Top your bites with diced chives and green onions and get dipping!
